Bark Barbecue Cafe

Awesome place. The smoke shack looked legit, loved that you can watch them smoke their meat. The inside was a bit small, most seating is outdoor. We got a cookies n cream milkshake which was tasty, thick. We got the pittmaster platter to try everything. Might have been a bit on the pricey side but we loved trying everything. The presentation was great too. Would have just wanted one more bun but that’s just small thing. We would come here again

Came for an early Saturday dinner and it was amazing. It wasn’t busy, which was great for us, but I want to make sure to spread the news so they stay in business because I’d be so sad if it didn’t succeed. Everything we ate was delightful - the pork belly sandwich, the platter - of which the ribs and brisket were our favorite. Even the sides on the platter were a hit - the well seasoned collard greens, my toddler dug into the rice and wouldn’t share, the laser cut potatoes. The sauces were just right, as I sometimes get overwhelmed with too many options at some other bbq places, I’d rather have a few done well. We had initially ordered a soft serve to keep the baby busy while we waited and rather than oversell us a big dessert that she didn’t need, we were given a sample size cup for her instead. So at the end of meal we went back for the pumpkin spice sundae, which was the perfect sweet and little spice. The platter was ample food so we brought some home, and was great on a salad the day after. I’m looking forward to our next meal there!

My second time back to Bark, my first time left an impression on me. The fare is excellent, and according to all the reviews here, I am not alone. After finishing my brisket sandwich in the enclosed outdoor eating area, which is equipped with propane heaters to keep all comfy, I walked over to the cooking area to see how the brisket was cooked and received a first-hand look at the smoker by the "grill master". He explained the process, and he definitely loves his job as he is very passionate.

We went to purchase BBQ sauce, my fiancé loves this place. Aubrey was working at the counter. Has to be the best pick up experience at a restaurant. She was pleasant and knowledgeable about the 3 sauces and let us try them all (David had only been once and was not sure which sauce it was he wanted). They are all good. There are very few places left with exceptional food and service. This is one of them. Thank you Aubrey, we will definitely be back to sit in. The only place for BBQ on Kent Island!
